Shipping Now. This is our #1 Selling Ski. The first true carbon/fiberglass rockered one-ski quiver with positive camber underfoot has been upgraded to first class. Weight: 4.3 lbs (1968 g)  per ski.PM Gear’s Lhasa Pow for 2012 has evolved again as it takes rocker and carbon fiber to the next level.  As the world's first full line of hybrid carbon fiber and fiberglass skis, the construction of the Lhasa Pow has been refined for increased torsional rigidity, a better ride and to demonstrate that when we say there's carbon fiber in our skis, we'd also like to show it.. The ski is now made exclusively in a hybrid layup consisting of two layers of fiberglass and five layers of carbon fiber.  A lot of ski companies say they put carbon fiber in their skis. But a couple threads do not constitute a carbon fiber hybrid ski. We show our carbon fiber under a clear nylon topsheet in a twill carbon fabric made exclusively for PM Gear. With lightweight dampness enhanced by metal tip and tail inserts where the edge and base would normally be, we've squelched vibration in our lightweight and damp cutting egde designs for every flavor of skiing - tele, alpine, AT or The Freeride World Tour . PM Gear skis excel in every arena on snow. Weight of the 186 Lhasa Pow is 4 lbs, 3 oz per ski, making it one of the very lightest skis made. The Lhasa Pow has 3mm of positive camber on a semi-pintail design with a progressively stiffer flex from tip to tail. The Lhasas 34 meter sidecut on a 140-112-120 dimension is insanely enhanced all terrain transcendence in performance and weight. The Lhasa is your everyday go-to ski through the powder months, when it is coveted it for it’s shape-shifting characteristics through powder in the trees. On big, open slopes it carves every turn imaginable, sticks big airs and dispenses slarvability on demand. When spring comes, you'll never put the Lhasa Pow away.  On groomers and off-piste glop, it carves multi-radius turns in hardpack/crud/slush with unbelievable ease.  Borne of a creative process that combined elements of design from every specialized quiver shape and construction out there, the Lhasa Pow is the powder specific carbon/glass ski that carves, slarves and rails in every condition the mountain deals. The Lhasa’s new bullet-nosed rockered tip shape planes powder and slices crust ahead of the ski like an icebreaker.  It flexes when it needs to and absolutely does not flop around at speed on groomer hardpack. This tip is more than the front end of the ski. It clears the path for the rest of the Lhasa's ample shovelprint through crud, crust, cake, and powder. The Lhasa Pow is the only carbon fiber/glass hybrid ski made in America, with carbon fiber edge to edge, as well as tip to tail, five times over.  Perfectly lightweight for people earning their turns, snappy for railing the hardpack and lightweight for people with higher objectives.  It will float you in the sidecountry and bring you back to the chair with the ease of a traditional ski. The carbon fiber/fiberglas construction is lighter and snappier, giving the ski all-around improved performance, especially for weight-conscious skinners and climbers. Whether alpine, tele or AT, the Lhasa Pow has set a standard others follow and is another stellar addition to our crossover quiver of slay-all skis. The Lhasa Pow is a semi-pintail ski, with a 20mm difference between the tip and tail widths. It requires a forward stance on the hardpack and requires virtually no effort in anything soft. Construction: aspen poplar core/2 layers fiberglass/4 layers carbon fiber/uhmw sidewalls/2 mm edge/diecut base/ metal anitvibration tip and tail base diecuts/ transparent nylon topsheet over carbon fiber
